Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez are in Kashmir shooting for their upcoming film ‘Race 3’. Both the superstars kept their fans updated through social media about their stay in the valley. But it was Jacqueline’s selfies with Salman that are keeping fans on their toes. Shot against beautiful locals of Sonamarg and Leh, the duo is busy shooting sequences of this upcoming action-packed thriller.

Last time Salman visited Kashmir for his film Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

KULGAM

In a dramatic style Dr Aijaz Rasool was arrested after an AK 47 rifle, one pistol and three magazines were recovered from his car during routine check at Mirbazar in Kulgam, where he had gone to see one of his patients. The doctor has given lift to two suspected militants, who fled leaving their ammunitions behind, when Rasool’s car was stopped by cops. The doctor is still in police custody.

LAHORE

Madeeha Gauhar, a noted Pakistani actor, play-writer and director, who founded Ajoka Theatre in 1983, passed away in Lahore. Ajoka performed in Asia and Eurpore. In 2006 she was honoured with Prince Claus Award in Netherlands. In 2007 she won the International Theatre Pasta Award.

Famous for her social theatre movement, Gauhar, was married to seasoned writer and director Shahid Nadeem, a resident of Sopore town of Baramulla district in Kashmir. She fought a prolonged battle with cancer.

KASHMIR

It is a beautiful site when train passes through mustard fields, snow clad mountains, and paddy fields.

But from this summer, a visitor can now enjoy this view from inside the train as well. State’s tourism department and railways authorities are set to introduce a see-through Vista-dome coach on the only rail line in Kashmir.

The 40-seater see-through air-conditioned coach is fitted with large glass windows, glass roof, observation lounge and rotatable seats, allowing a passenger to experience breathtakingly beautiful locations along 135 km Baramulla-Banihal track.

AUSTRALIA

The news of Indian tennis star Sania Mirza expecting her first baby in October with Pakistani husband Shoaib Malik has sent internet into a mad frenzy of suggesting names. But one particular suggestion caught everyone’s attention. It came from none other than Australian journalist Dennis Freedman. The tongue in cheek journalist was quick to suggest that the baby should be named Kashmir, given the nationalities of their parents. Let’s see if Shoaib and Sania will heed to Freedman’s advice.
