Saqib Mir - French Bakery Srinagar Kashmir

Saqib Mir, the owner of Srinagar’s famous French Bakery, is among national jury for the upcoming Cake Marathon 2019.

Mir, a pastry chef, has his diploma in Patisserie from one of the world’s most reputed institutions in France- L’ Academie de Versailles. In Kashmir, he is a proud owner of his baking laboratory Le Delice, located on the shores of Dal Lake.

ISLAMABAD

Since 2016, Pakistan has made a number of movies based on happenings in Kashmir. Recently, a website named Kashmir Intifada and a new game has been launched to pay tributes to militant commander Burhan Wani and Dukhtaran-e-Millat head Asia Andrabi. The website has been developed by ‘The Digital Intelligence’ with Dr Umair Haroon leading the project.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Thursday expressed hope that India and Pakistan will resume a “genuine” dialogue for addressing all outstanding issues, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
While addressing Ministerial Meeting of OIC contact group on Jammu and Kashmir on the sidelines of14th Islamic Summit at Makkah, Dr Yousef bin Ahmad Al-Othaimeen, General Secretary of the OIC, said that the Organisation has continued to highlight in all its engagements in the international forums that it is necessary to ensure that India ceases to use force against civilians in Kashmir and stop its disregard for human rights laws there.

LUCKNOW

Kashmir has ruled headlines in India for most part of BJP’s first term in power since 2014. And it was Article 370 and 35A that was the most talked about topic. Keeping in view its importance in national politics, Lucknow University’s Political Science books will have a full fledged on Article 370.
Allahabad University was the first one to introduce Article 370 in their curriculum. The revised course module has already been cleared by the LU’s faculty board and board of studies. In all likelihood, it will be taught from the new academic session.
