SRINAGAR
Srinagar police has taken up the investigation in the death of a British tourist, who was found dead in a houseboat in Srinagar.
As per the District police authorities, A FSL team of Srinagar police was deputed for collection of vital clues at the crime scene. The body of the deceased was sent for post mortem.
A case FIR no: 40/2013 under section 302/RPC has been registered in police station Ram Munshi Bagh, Srinagar in this regard.
The deceased lady tourist was reported to be a resident of Manchester, UK. More details to follow.
