Achieving a rare feat, Dental Unit of District Hospital Budgam on November 12, 2016 operated upon a patient with Maxillofacial trauma, a case of Zygomatico complex fracture.
According to spokesman of Directorate of Health, Services Kashmir, the fracture was reduced and fixed using mini plates. The patient is doing well post operatively.
The Surgery under the logistic support from Dr Ibrahim Makaya, MS DH Budgam was performed by Dr Manzoor (Maxillofacilal Surgeon), Dr Sanjeet Singh (Consultant,OM), Sartaj and Snober (Dental Technicians).
Director Health Services, Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman complimented the hospital administration and the operative team in initiating such procedures at peripheral hospitals and has assured in promoting the oral health sector across Kashmir Division.
