Srinagar

Mobile Internet service was suspended in parts of Kashmir valley on Saturday following the killing of three civilians in forces’ firing in south Kulgam district and ahead of slain Hizb Commander Burhan Wani’s death anniversary.

The service was snapped in south Kashmir districts of Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, and Islamabad soon after the civilian killings in Hawoora village.

Three civilians, Shakir Ahmad (22), Irshad Majid (20) and Andleeb Jan (16), were killed after forces opened fire on protesters in Hawoora village during clashes.

However, the service was suspended in other Kashmir parts around 5 pm, apparently in view of second death anniversary of militant commander Burhan Wani tomorrow.
