Residents said that the police have asked the people to come out of their homes so that searches are carried out. The effective presence of the police and paramilitary forces is entire village.

The security grid was in the process of installing lights in the adjacent fields when this report was being filed.

Not many details were available from the police side but it is presumed that the grid is hunting for the militants in the belt. Earlier in the day, three militants were killed along with a solider in Aglar village that falls in the Pulwama district. Police held the slain militants responsible for the attack on the police party in which a selection grade constable was killed, a day earlier.

Reports said that the slain included two Jaish-e-Muhammad militants from Pakistan as their third accomplice was a local, Waseem, a resident from Drabgam village. He was operating under the operational code of Tiger.

Reports appearing on the social media suggest that Waseem is the same militant whose photograph carrying an American assault rifle had gone viral on the social media last week. Reportedly the police have recovered the American made M4 AR-15 Rifle.

Kashmir Police Chief is scheduled to address a news conference on Tuesday at 11 am.
