Authorities on Saturday morning snapped the internet services in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

The services were snapped soon after the gunfight between militants and government forces started in Chattabal area of Srinagar.

The encounter started on Saturday morning after the government launched a cordon and search operation inChattabal area of district Srinagar after receiving specific intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

Official sources said the search operation turned into an encounter as the government forces were fired upon by the militants.

Reportedly two militants are believed to be trapped the area.
