The killing of yet another unarmed and innocent youth by the army at Trehgam in Kupwara district has shocked the Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP). The party has termed the situation, arisen out of the unabated killings as alarming.
Expressing solidarity and sympathy with the broken parents of Khalid Ahmad Malik, son of Abdul Gafar Malik, of Trehgam, a JKDFP spokesperson said in a statement that only parents of the slain know the pain of the deaths taking place in nook and corner of the disputed region as they are the prime victims of the ongoing bloodshed. The spokesperson said government forces are on a killing spree and our society is in a complete mourning state due to day to day killings.
The JKDFP spokesperson said that government forces resort to firing on smaller issues resulting in the carnage and it was very badly affected the very nature of the people living in the disputed territory. A huge population is undergoing psychological trauma and if the situation remains the same the result will be more dangerous.
He said that Kashmiri people have to bury their youngsters almost on daily basis and the situation is disturbing. The JKDFP spokesperson stressed upon human rights organisations and justice loving people across the globe to come to the rescue of Jammu Kashmir people who are being killed only because they demand their political rights.
