Clashes broke out between the forces and youth on Monday after government forces launched a massive Cordon and search operation in more than dozen villages in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that soon after forces cordoned off several villages at a time, the youth took to the streets and pelted government forces with stones to disrupt the CASO. Forces retaliate with tear gas shells to disperse the protesting youth.
Heavy contingents of forces have been deployed in the areas and search operation is going on, sources said.
