Kashmiri students studying in Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology Jammu Thursday alleged that they are being harassed by students in the college.

The students said that they are being “forced” to chant slogans including, “Bharat Maata Ki Ji and Bharat Mein Rehna Hai toa Vanday Mataram Kehna Hai”.

Speaking to Kashmir Life from Jammu, the students who pleaded anonymity, said, “a student was thrashed by some students and forced to chant Bharat Maata Ki Jai immediately after West Indies defeated India on 31st March.”

“Thereafter, we are being continuously harassed by the students,” a Kashmiri student of the college said.

The aggrieved students claim that they approached the administration but “they are yet to take any action against the goons”.

Meanwhile, the college authorities have postponed the internal exams.
