Addressing the media at the three-day Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) Hyderabad 2026, where Jammu and Kashmir is the partner state, Wani highlighted the region’s cultural heritage, natural landscapes and growing opportunities for adventure tourism. He called for stronger tourism ties with Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring states to attract more visitors.

Promoting the upcoming marathon, Wani said the event would offer participants an opportunity to experience Kashmir’s scenic surroundings and hospitality while helping position the region as a destination for sports tourism.

He also stressed the need for closer coordination between travel industry stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir and Hyderabad to expand tourism opportunities, increase visitor numbers and develop stronger regional partnerships.

The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department is presenting the Union Territory’s tourism potential at the event, with a focus on attracting visitors during the forthcoming winter and spring seasons. Its showcase includes premium hospitality facilities, tailored holiday packages and emerging destinations intended to encourage tourists to explore places beyond established travel circuits.

The fair was jointly inaugurated by Telangana Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Wani. Representatives of the national travel and tourism industry also attended the opening.

A delegation from Jammu and Kashmir, led by Wani, is holding discussions with tourism stakeholders and travel industry representatives to strengthen the region’s presence in the southern Indian market and explore opportunities for cooperation.
