PDP has stated that Congress was equally responsible for prevailing mis-governance and mess in the State. Party’s Jammu candidate Yash Pal Sharma says NC-Congress  alliance has always proved disastrous for the state.

Addressing series of public meetings in Jammu city Sharma said that prevailing chaos and uncertainty was result of the failure of Congress party. He said that present NC-Congress  coalition has looted the State like their previous coalitions. He said that such opportunist alliances were always proved short lived and bigger political disaster for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Cautioning people against deceiving tactics of National Conference, he said that leadership of this has always bartered wishes and aspirations of the people of the State to remain in power.

“For the lust of power NC leadership can go to any extent”, he said and added that whenever NC has forged alliance it proved disastrous for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “It is known fact that 1986 Farooq-Rajiv Accord was the biggest historical blunder in the history of Jammu and Kashmir”, he said and reminded how the infamous 1987 assembly elections were brazenly rigged by the same coalition to remain in power. “Had NC-Congress not rigged the elections in 1987, situation would have been entirely different in Jammu and Kashmir”, he regretted.

Calling upon the people to compare three year tenure of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed with decades long mis-goverance of successive governments, he said that unlike other political parties PDP never compromised with wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
