CongressJammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Friday condemned the release of youths held over stone pelting charges by Ms Mehbooba Mufti government.

“We strongly condemn the suo moto release of stone-pelters without scrutinising the harshness of their offence,” General Secretary of JKPCC and former minister, Manohar lal Sharma said today.

Sharma said the BJP and PDP both the parties are in government and alleged that Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti is “hell bent to implement her agenda” compromising the “national security for which the BJP was committed to the people of the nation, whether it was the issue of release of militants, stone-pelters or evacuation of bunkers from Srinagar”.

“CM is taking all the decisions on her own and the BJP which is sharing power in state, is in absolute majority at the Union government level. Why are they mute spectators on these issues,” he claimed.

“BJP-PDP government has no intelligence inputs and no control on militant activities,” he alleged.
