SRINAGAR
A Police Constable died while 11 others were injured in different road traffic accidents across the valley, police said on Thursday.
A Maruti Zen bearing registration number PB15D/5051 collided with a Tractor without registration number at Susman, Kulgam, in Qazigund resulting in injuries to Constable Somnath, Constable Proshotam Nath, Constable Ghulam Ahmad and Constable Abdul Rashid.
All the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment, where Constable Ghulam Ahmad succumbed to his injuries.
A Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05B/8637 hit a motorcycle bearing registration number JK05C/6252 at Rampore, Boniyar in Baramulla district resulting in injuries to Abid Rashid Gani son of Abdul Rashid resident of Binner, Baramulla and Showkat Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Nabi resident of Binner, Baramulla.
The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, a Tipper bearing registration number JK16/4098 hit a motorcycle without registration number near Bamloora, Ganderbal resulting in injuries to 3 persons travelling on the motorcycle.
The injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment.
In another accident, a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01U/7072 rammed into a parked Mahindra Load Carrier at Seloo, Sopore, resulting in injuries to 3 persons.
The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
