The contractual paramedical staff of Mother and Care Hospital (MCH) Sopore Thursday protested against their pending salaries in the hospital premises.
The employees, without salaries from five months said when the hospital started to function from new building, the authorities assured them that they would be regularized in their respective fields.
“Our file is pending in finance and health departments since long time but the government is doing nothing in this regard,” they said and added that they had been paid from the hospital
development funds earlier, “but for the last 5 months they have not received a single penny due to which their families are at the verge of starvation.”
Pertinently these employees have been working in the department for last 15 to 20 years and are being paid an amount of 2500 to 3000 per month.
