A day after the Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar, Rajiv Gupta served notice on Station House Officer (SHO) Kralkhud Aftab Ahmad in contempt of court proceedings for alleged delay in filing report in Danish Farooq case, the court on Saturday sent Danish on police remand till Nov 9.

According to official sources, the SHO today filed his reply before the court through the Chief Prosecuting Officer, praying that the delay in submitting the report to the court was on account of engagements in curfew duties and that the family members of Danish had not come to collect the report from the police station.

The court, according to sources, had only asked the SHO to file a reply and not attend the court personally, as reported earlier.
