Crime Branch Chargesheets Man Over Alleged Encroachment of State Land in Rajouri

   

SRINAGAR: The Crime Branch Jammu on Saturday filed a chargesheet against a man accused of allegedly encroaching upon more than two-and-a-half kanals of state land in Rajouri district in 2022, an official said.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch presented the chargesheet against Yash Paul, a resident of Bhajwal village, before the Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class in Sunderbani in connection with the state land encroachment case, a Crime Branch spokesperson said.

According to the spokesperson, the case was registered at the Crime Branch (EOW) police station following a written complaint by Acharya Rajesh Kumar Prashar.

The complaint alleged that Paul, in connivance with certain revenue and forest officials, had encroached upon state land.
