In a landmark achievement, a crucial Neuro Surgical Operation was performed by Dr Mir Basharat Ahmad Kanth (MS, MCH Neuro Surgery) at Community Health Centre Sopore.
Health Services sources told a local news agency, CNS that a three hour long operation was performed on Ghulam Mohiudin Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar resident of Haritar Sopore who had suffered Sub Dural Brain Hemorrhage and was brought to CHC Sopore in critical condition.
It is pertinent to mention that Director Health Services Kashmir was keen to start a Neuro Surgical Facility at CHC Sopore to cater the needs of the North Kashmir patients.
Block Medical Officer Sopore, Dr Syed Masood said that Director Health Services Kashmir is committed to provide the Super-Specialty Services at the doorstep of the people, who otherwise have a limited access to the Super-Specialty Care either due to poor access or poor economical conditions.
