While heaping praises over the “serious” efforts of Pakistan government and people regarding the on-going “freedom” struggle in Jammu & Kashmir, Chairperson All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) Syed Ali Geelani Tuesday said that the entire Pakistan nation is pained with the killings of Kashmiri children “at the hands of the Indian occupational forces”.

“Not only in the country but the Pakistani people present anywhere in the world are acting as ambassadors of Kashmir and are highlighting the Indian atrocities against the Kashmiri unarmed people,” the octogenarian leader said in a statement issued late this evening.

“The Pakistan government in this regard has called an important conference of its envoys and diplomats in Islamabad which is highly encouraging for the subjugated people of Jammu & Kashmir,” Geelani said.

He said that it is the result of the countless and precious sacrifices of the Kashmiri people that the world is today showing its concerns regarding the burning Kashmir issue.

Addressing the participating members in the SAARC conference to be held in Pakistan, the pro-freedom leader said, “peace in South Asia is impossible until the dignified and permanent resolution of the Kashmir issue according to the wishes of its people.”

“It is moral responsibility of the world leaders to help in saving the innocent human lives in Jammu & Kashmir and they should impress upon India to cooperate in holding referendum in the troubled state,” he said.

Geelani also appealed Pakistani government to come to the rescue of the large number of injured persons in the Kashmir who are on the verge of losing their eye sights and the walking abilities for the entire life.

He appealed the people particularly youths of the Kashmir to play a leading role in the “freedom” struggle and don’t give anybody any chance to defame our just and sacred movement.

“You have to be watchful and cautious regarding different developments in your localities and ensure that nobody is allowed to hijack our freedom struggle,” Geelani told the youths.

The ailing leader appealed the youths of the nation to ensure that the protests and the other resistance programs are followed “with discipline and according to the Islamic principles”.

He asked people to follow the disciplined program of the joint pro-freedom leadership and “don’t let the Indian agencies to create any confusion or disorder”.
