#Day27: Andrabi Visits Hajj House, Reviews Arrangements

Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi Thursday chaired a joint meeting of officers at Hajj Houses to review Hajj arrangements put in place by the government.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary Revenue, Hajj and Auqaf, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Additional DC Srinagar, Riyaz Ahmed Wani, Executive Officer, State Hajj Committee, Syed Qamar Sajad and officers of SDA, SMC, Health etc, an official spokesperson said this evening.

Earlier, the meeting the Minister inspected several sections of the Hajj Houses including, pilgrims staying hall, dining hall, prayer hall and parking area.

The Minister was informed that all arrangements have been already done for the pilgrims who have to stay in Hajj House for night and in case of emergency extra bedding will be arranged.

During the meeting the concerned officials apprised the Minister about the on-going process of lifting of left out building material, finalization of drainages, macadamization, sanitation and cleaning in and around the Hajj Houses premises.

The Minister directed SMC officials to finalize the pending work before the start of Hajj flights. Meanwhile, Director Floriculture was also directed to take concrete majors to beautify the Hajj House compound.

Andrabi also directed the concerned to take special care of sanitation and cleanness in and around the Hajj House premises.

The Minister impressed upon all the officers of civil and police to maintain close coordination and take initiatives to make the arrangements fool proof.
