Earlier during night hours, large contingent of police had cordoned Er Rasheed’s residence and nobody was allowed to enter or leave the house. However, as per the statement party workers and scores of protestors broke police cordon and got Rasheed and his colleagues out of police cordon.

Protestors were carrying banners and play-cards raising slogans (‘UN Wake Up – Wake Up’, ‘Plebiscite long live long live’ and ‘State Terrorism down-down’). However, police interrupted the march and used force to disburse it.

In the scuffle, the statement said four persons were injured including one Ghulam Mohammad Dar, who sustained critical injuries and was rushed to hospital after severe bleeding.
