Continuing with pro-freedom rallies in South Kashmir, thousands of people are attending a rally at Talangam in Pulwama district on Thursday.

Talangam is a village located on Pulwama-Awantipora road. It is 6-7 KM away from district headquarters.

Yesterday, at least four massive rallies were held in Dadsara, Qaimoh, Padgampora and Aarigam while one boat rally too was taken out in Bijbehara area, all in South Kashmir.

Local sources said that people had managed food for those who had come from far off places.

“Preparations for this massive gathering were being held since last evening,” a local said, “forces tried to disturb late night but we resisted.”

The everyday pro-freedom rallies in South Kashmir are a norm now. However, forces tried at several places to disallow mass gathering of the people but despite that people held the huge congregations.

“It is 100% peaceful,” one participant said, “people came by foot, in cars and on bikes holding pro-freedom flags.”
