As Kashmir is witnessing severe restrictions on Wednesday to block the UN march called by united resistance leadership, people at several places staged sit-in protests.
Reports coming from Batamaloo said that dozens of people tried to take out UN march but they were stopped.
Later, the reports added, the protesting people held a sit-in near Astania Aliya.
One youth, a tenth class student, was killed by CRPF on late Monday evening in the same area following which Batamaloo witnessed nocturnal pro-freedom demonstrations.
Sensing that government may enforce clampdown on UN march, the resistance leadership had asked to stage sit-ins on roads if they were prevented by the authorities from marching towards the United Nations Office at Sonawar.
Meanwhile, people held a sit-in protest demonstration in Nawa Kadal area of Srinagar as they were disallowed to proceed towards UN Office at Sonwar.
