Forces shot at an Ambulance driver of health department around 9 PM on Thursday.

Reports said that an ambulance was ferrying patients from Kangan and was on way to SMHS Hospital Srinagar.

The driver of the ambulance was shot at by the forces in Srinagar’s Safakadal area. Reports said that he was hit in his right arm.

Identified as Ghulam Mohammad Sofi, he was been removed to the SMHS Hospital from where he was referred to Bone and joint hospital Barzulla for treatment.

Notably, government has imposed night curfew in Kashmir.

Forces have established check points across Srinagar. All routes leading to Lal Chowk have been sealed and huge deployment of forces has been made.

Switching off the lights is first order from both sides: the cops and the protestors.
