Police and other para-military forces fired tear gas shells to disperse protestors in North Kashmir’s town Sopore.
Local correspondent reports said that hundreds of people come out on roads in Arampora, Chinkipora Rahim Sahab, Lal Bab Sahab areas after Zuhr prayers.
The curfew continued in Sopore and it adjoining areas of 45th consecutive day.
The protestors amid strong pro-freedom and anti-India slogans staged a massive protest.
The protestors demanded immediate halt to the use of pellets and start rockets.
Asking shop keepers not to exploit the situation, the protestors warned them of “serious consequences”.
After the procession started growing bigger and bigger, forces resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the protesters.
Stone pelting was going on in Arampora Sopore when last reports came.
