Jammu and Kashmir Police on late Sunday declared that there will be no curfew in Kashmir on Monday except a few areas.

It will be for the first time since July 09, 2016 that police decide not to impose curfew across Kashmir given the mass uprising triggered by the killing of popular militant commander Burhan Wani on July 08, 2016.

“Following improvement in the situation,” J&K police spokesperson said in a statement this evening, “there will be no restrictions in Kashmir valley from tomorrow except town Pulwama and the areas falling under the jurisdictions of Police station M R Gunj and Police Station Nowhatta.”
