At least 250-300 vehicles including motor bicycles, cars, automobiles and other forms of transport has formed a pro-freedom rally in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The development comes despite the fact that main Kulgam town is under severe curfew like restrictions.
Reports said that the pro-freedom rally amid anti-India slogans started from Redwani drove through Qaimoh and Frisal is on way to Aarwani area of the district.
The pro-freedom cavalcade will pass through several areas of the district. People from a dozen villages are participating in the motor rally.
Reports of stone pelting incidents reached from some areas of the district as well.
Meanwhile, reports said that an all women pro-freedom rally was held in Bogund village of Kulgam.
Dukhtaran-i-Millat chief Syedah Asiya Andrabi addressed the gathering telephonically.
Islamabad town too has been sealed after a youth was killed in Botengo on Saturday. Local resistance leadership had asked people to march towards Lal Chowk Islamabad today. Reports of stone pelting reached from some areas of the district as well.
