Army on Sunday claimed to have killed three militants along the line of control in Nowgam sector of Kupwara district.
Four weapons have also been recovered from the site of the gunfight, reports said.
A search operation is underway, it said.
Despite repeated calls from Kashmir Life, Srinagar based defence spokesperson did not respond.
