Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for New York to participate in the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly.

“In his address to the UN on Wednesday, the Prime Minister will emphatically highlight the Kashmir dispute and the recent wave of atrocities unleashed by Indian troops,” Radio Pakistan reported on Saturday.

The Pak premier will also speak on Pakistan’s position, role and contribution on key international issues.

“He will also participate in the High-Level Meeting of the General Assembly to address Large Movements of Refugees and Migrants and the Leaders’ Summit on Refugees,” the report said.

Sharif will also urge the international community to devote adequate political attention and support for the voluntary repatriation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan and their sustainable reintegration in Afghanistan.

On the side lines of the UNGA session, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral meetings with a number of world leaders, including the UN Secretary General.

Notably, Pakistan PM on Friday held deliberations with PaK premier and Hurriyat Conference leaders in Muzaffarabad before his Saturday trip to New York.
