Deputy Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation Sheikh Imran received injuries when one of the councillors threw a cup at him during councillor session of SMC on Monday.
Official sources said that a scuffle broke out during the councillors session at SMC Complex and one of the councillors took some object probably a cup and threw it at Imran who fell down and was removed to the hospital. They said Sheikh Imran got injured and was shifted to hospital.
Meanwhile, police have taken the cognizance of the incident and further investigations are going on.
