The Jammu and Kashmir Police Friday dispelled the notion that the Hyderabad man recently arrested was involved in the Hyderabad blasts.

“He is not at all suspected to be involved in Hyderabad blast case. It would be wrong to link him with the case, as a missing   report under his name is registered with Hyderabad Police .We are only questioning him to find out if any other angle exists there”, Depty inspector General (DIG) of police Ramban-Doda-Kishtwar range, Gareeb Dass told KNS.

Pertinently few days back Ramban police had detained a youth named Muhammad Salahuddin hailng from Fateh Darwaza Hyderabad on grounds of suspicion. Police had detained the 36 year old man for questioning after he was found roaming in “suspicious” circumstances in Ramban town on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway. Some Arab currency, a pen drive and a passport was also recovered from him.

A Hyderabad police team is expected to arrive today to further investigate the matter the DIG told KNS.

Meanwhile Police commissioner Hyderabad refused to comment on the issue. “I m in a meeting and cannot talk on the issue”, he told KNS over phone from Hyderabad.
