DGP Prabhat Calls for Dismantling of Terror Ecosystem Ahead of Amarnath Yatra

   

SRINAGAR: Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat (IPS) on Saturday directed officers to intensify efforts to dismantle the terror ecosystem and ensure foolproof security arrangements for the upcoming 38-day Amarnath Yatra, scheduled to begin on July 3.

DGP Prabhat chaired a joint meeting at Police Control Room Kashmir with officers from the Police, CRPF, ITBP, Traffic Police, Railways, and various security and intelligence agencies to review overall security arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra 2025.

An official said the DGP stressed the importance of proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of the pilgrims. He directed implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and called for focused efforts to dismantle the terror infrastructure.

The DGP instructed officers to strengthen security by deploying anti-sabotage teams along the yatra routes. He also directed enhanced surveillance and threat detection using advanced technology and real-time monitoring on both pilgrimage routes.

The official added that the Inspector Generals of Police from Kashmir and Jammu zones briefed the chair on the proposed security arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra 2025.

Officers from CAPF and other security forces also shared their inputs and underlined the importance of effective coordination among all agencies.

The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to ensure maximum preparedness and coordination for the safe and smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

Sinha (IPS), ADGP CID J&K Nitish Kumar (IPS), IGsP of Kashmir and Jammu zones, IG BSF Kashmir, IGP POS J&K, IG CRPF KOS, IG CRPF Srinagar, IGP Traffic J&K, IGP Railways J&K, IGP Security J&K, DIGs of CKR, SKR, SSB Srinagar, IRP Kashmir, Armed Kashmir, Personnel HQ and ITBP, SSsP of PCR Kashmir, Anantnag, Kulgam, Ganderbal and APCR, and other senior officers.
