Hurriyat Conference (m) chairperson Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Friday led a protest rally against the issuing of domicile certificates to West Pakistan Refugees (WPR).
Mirwiaz, after offering Friday prayers in Jamia Masjid, where he also addresses the Friday congregation, was joined by scores of people to protest against the government’s move.
Raising pro-freedom and anti-government slogans, the protesters termed the government move as “State dictatorship”.
Mirwaiz and the protesters were carrying banners with messages “No Domicile for West Pakistan refugees. Stop State Dictatorship’, “we want freedom” and ‘Down with SARFAESI Act”.
