DPS Srinagar has come up with its own series of computer science textbooks “Learning Computer for a smarter life” for classes 1st to 8th.The series was launched by Suraya Abdullah in presence of Vijay Dhar, Chairman, and other dignitaries, the spokesman said.
“The need to design our own series arose because our computer science syllabus far exceeds the prevailing standards.We introduce students to cutting-edge technology that far exceeds prevailing curriculum at an early age.” the spokesman added.
This prompted the computer department faculty to design and frame a new series.
The school endeavors to upgrade and update the books on a regular basis to keep pace with technological advancement.
The school is planning to set up advanced maker space for drones and robotics for students to help them prototype their ideas, he claims.
