Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former MLA Sonwar, and ex-political secretary to Dr Farooq Abdullah, Mohammad Yasin Shah.

Yasin Shah Sahib represented Sonwar constituency for two terms. While extending condolences to the mournful family, party president prayed for peace to the soul of deceased and much-needed strength to the grief-stricken family. “I am deeply saddened by the news of passing away of Yasin Sahib, it is a personal loss. He was a man of integrity, empathy, and vision. He had a deep conviction towards the ideals of Sher-e-Kashmir. I express my heartfelt condolences to the mournful family on their bereavement. Yasin sahib will live on in our memories. May the Almighty grant him highest echelons in the Jannah, and strength to the grief-stricken family to bear the inconsolable loss. Amen.”

Party Vice President Omar Abdullah while expressing grief over the passing away of Yasin sahib said, “I am saddened to hear of Yasin Sahib’s demise. He was an extraordinary man. I extend my deepest sympathies with the mournful family. Known for his decision-making capabilities, he spared no efforts to bring about development in the Sonwar constituency.  He will be remembered for his virtuous personality and the sheer amount of good work he did in his stint as the MLA of Sonwar. I pay my deference to him, pray that Almighty grant him highest stations in Jannah, and much-needed strength to the grief-stricken family to bear the loss.”

Among others party, general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Dr Sheikh Mustufa Kamal, Nasir Aslam Wani, A R Rather, Chowdhary M Ramzaan, M Shafi Uri, MPs Muhammad Akbar Lone, Hasnain Masoodi, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, Shammi Oberoi, Mubarak Gul, Mir Saifullah, Sakina Itoo, Shameema Firdous, Peer Afaq, Irfan Shah, Mohammad Syed Akhoon, Ishfaq Jabbar, Altaf Kaloo, GQ Pardesi, Salman Sagar, Imran Nabi Dar, Sara Hayat, Ahsan Pardesi have also expressed grief over the demise of Yasin Sahib. The functionaries have expressed solidarity with the mournful family on their bereavement and prayed for peace to the deceased.
