The National Conference has held hectic parleys on the probable candidates for the forthcoming parliamentary polls and the names of top leaders including party patron Dr Farooq Abdullah has surfaced among options available with the party.

Reliable sources have KNS that the party is discussing to nominate either Dr Farooq Abdullah or Abdul Rahim Rather from Central Kashmir.  Mohammad Shafi Uri, Nasir Aslam Wani and Sharief-ud-din Shariq are the names being considered for North Kashmir.

The sources have further revealed that Mehboob Beigh will be likely to be nominated from South Kashmir again. Beigh won the parliamentary seat from North Kashmir in 2009 parliament elections.

As the people’s democratic party (PDP) has already nominated Mehbboba Mufti and Tariq Hameed  Qarra for Srinagar, sources close to the party have informed that the party is likely to nominate its candidates for north Kashmir on December 15.

Meanwhile hectic deliberations are going on within the state Congress camp about the persons expected to be nominated by the party for the parliamentary elections being held in 2014.
