As per a police spokesperson two cops were killed and ex- Director, SKIMS, Dr Jalal-u-Din was injured in a ‘militant’ attack in Pampore on Thursday.
“Unknown militants fired upon ex- Director SKIMS, Dr Jalal-u-Din and his Personal Security officers at Namblabal Pampore, this afternoon. Two cops were martyred while as Dr Jalal was injured in the firing,” reads a statement.
The killed cops have been identified as Ct. Tariq Ahmad resident of Bagiyas Chatabal and Parvez Ahmad Wani resident of Wanigam Qaimoh Kulgam. Dr. Jalal was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment.
