SRINAGAR: Tribal Affairs Secretary and in-charge officer for counter-Covid19 efforts in Jammu region, Dr Shahid Iqba Choudhary was admitted to a Jammu hospital after he got unwell overnight.

It is now being said that he has suffered “a minor Myocardial infarction”. Aamir Ali, who has worked with him said Dr Choudhary is out of danger. He had suffered “a mild heart attack” at his official residence in Jammu.

Dr Choudhary, a medical doctor and an IAS officer, has led the counter-Covid19 measures in the first wave as Deputy Commissioner Srinagar.

Initial reports said he was admitted to GMC College Jammu but later reports said he is in the ICU of Ankur Maitrika Hospital. He is stable and will soon be discharged after angiography.
