Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairperson Muhammad Yasin Malik Friday strongly condemned the unwanted and ugly campaign of “Indian ruling regime and biased media” against famous Islamic scholar, preacher, founder of Peace TV Dr Zakir Naik.
He termed it as witch hunt to “suppress Muslims and Islamic institutions in India”. “Turning a preacher’s decades long peaceful sermons and teachings as doubtful on the pretext that someone liked him or his speeches is ridiculous and Indian biased anti-Muslim media and rulers by starting this witch hunt have actually crossed every limit of decency and humanity,” he said.
Malik said that before any investigations Indian Home Ministry and Information Minister have termed Dr Naik’s speeches as “controversial which is a clear sign of the anti-Muslim mind set of Indian ruling regime”.
“Vicious campaign against a peaceful Muslim scholar is actually vindicating our point of view that Muslims in India are no longer safe and secured. Muslims of Jammu Kashmir stand with Dr Zakir Naik and Indian Muslims in this hour of need and strongly condemn Indian rulers and media campaign against Dr Naik,” asserted Malik.
Meanwhile, while condemning the “onslaught” on people of Kashmir on Eid, Malik said, “the way CRPF hooligans, police personal and other forces attacked people at Srinagar, Sopore, Kulgam, Islamabad and the way they damaged property, cars and vehicles has once again proved that these forces are actually forces of darkness and violence and their main job is to inflict more and more harm to Kashmiri Muslims.”
“Before Eid and after Eid, hundreds of youth have been arrested from Sopore, Kulgam, Islamabad, Srinagar, Baramulla and hunt to arrest many more is on. Even Indian army has started arresting common people and youth and at Sopore and Kulgam; series of nocturnal raids and arrest by Indian army are a clear sign of frustration of so-called rulers. This violent approach of so-called rulers and their authorities tantamount to suppressing peoples voices by military might which is highly condemnable,”
He said that on Eid, not only people, young and old, were “beaten ruthlessly by the sadist Indian forces but any thing that came their way was stoned and broken by them, of which many photographs have also come out in media”.
“Why are rulers mum on this terrorist like behavior of their forces and why have fountains of their Fatwa factories dried up on these shameful anti-people acts,” he asked.
