Driver Dies After Dumper Comes In Contact With Power Line In North Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: A 45-year-old dumper driver died of an electric shock after the vehicle he was driving came in contact with an overhead 33-KV power line while unloading in the Rajarwani area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday, officials said.

Quoting an official, the news agency KNO reported that incident occurred when the dumper accidentally came in contact with the overhead power line during unloading.

The driver suffered an electric shock and was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Uri in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The deceased was a resident of the Uranbuwa area of Boniyar, while his identity has not yet been ascertained.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings.
