SRINAGAR: A heavy motor vehicle driver was killed while a helper was injured in a road mishap in Ramban district on Friday morning.
Reports said that An accident occurred at T5 Panthyal Magarkote when two heavy motor vehicles collided with each other, resulting in the on-the-spot death of one driver while a helper was injured in the mishap.
A police officer said that in the mishap, a driver lost his life. He was identified as Surinder Kumar, a resident of Pathankot, Punjab.
He said the injured person was taken to a nearby hospital for advanced treatment. The officer said a case in this regard has been registered, and further investigation has been initiated. (KS)
