SRINAGAR: Two more dead bodies were lowered to their graves today. Both girls and minors had drowned on Saturday and their bodies were fished out on Sunday.
Reports appearing in the media said that the minor duo with a nine-year-old boy, Azhar had gone to bathing in the Mendhar River near Dhaki Bridge. While Azhar was rescued by the army, the soldiers could not prevent the two little girls from being washed away.
After hectic efforts, the two bodies were fished out from the rivulet after 15 hours. They were located in the Chajjala area.
Kashmir already lost two boys today. They also had gone bathing but failed to return to the shores. With this Kashmir lost four lives in 24 hours.
