The deputy secretary of the state Legislative Assembly Syed Mukhtyar Ahmad died due to cardiac arrest late on Friday night.
Assembly today morning, while paying tribute to the deceased soul held two minutes silence in the house.
Sayed Mukhtyar, was on duty for the whole day and was absolutely normal, his colleagues informed.
Mukhtyar hails from Hafroo Batapora, area of the Budgam area.
His body was airlifted Saturday morning from Jammu.
58-year-old breathed his last at the time of stroke, at his residence in Baily Charaan Jammu.
