Octogenarian Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani was Saturday taken to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for a medical check-up.
Sources close to Geelani said that this was a routine check-up.
He said that a heavy contingent of police accompanied Geelani to the hospital where he underwent several medical tests.
Pertinently, Geelani would spent winter months in Delhi and would return in March. However, this winter Geelani stayed back.
The senior resistance leader is suffering from several ailments including heart problems. Besides, Geelani is suffering from a massive chest congestion.
