Senior National Conference leader, Mian Altaf while raising the issue of “sky-touching” air fares due to the heavy snowfall in the valley and closure of air routes asked the to throw open Srinagar-Muzzafarabad road for the convenience of the people.
“People are suffering due to the closure of the roads and air fares have skyrocketed,” he said, “Air tickets from Delhi-to Srinagar are being sold at Rs 90000.”
He said this is leading to massive inconvenience to the people. “Road leading to other side of LoC should be thrown open,” he urged the government.
He stated that people particularly students are suffering badly and if not for all the times, the Muzaffarabad route should be opened when main highway remains closed.
