SRINAGAR: An elderly man lost his life after being hit by a vehicle in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday.
An official said that an unidentified vehicle struck a man in Khanabal, Anantnag, leaving him critically injured.
He said the victim, identified as Bashir Ahmad Khan, son of Ab Ahad Khan and a resident of Nandpora, Anantnag, was rushed to GMC Anantnag for treatment, where doctors declared him dead.
The vehicle fled the scene; however, Anantnag police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation. (JKNS)
