SRINAGAR: An elderly woman died following an alleged scuffle with her daughter-in-law in the Bonibagh Cherwan area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday evening, reports said.
The woman was taken to Kangan Hospital in a critical condition after the alleged altercation. However, doctors declared her dead on arrival, according to the reports.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident to establish the circumstances leading to her death.
A police official, speaking anonymously, told Kashmir Life that the investigation was under way and further details would be shared after the completion of the required legal formalities.
