An encounter broke out between militants and government forces late Sunday afternoon in Mir Mohalla, Buchru area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, Police said.
A fierce gunbattle is raging with two militants engaged in the encounter in a local house, police sources informed.
“Special operations group of JK Police and Rashtriya Rifles of Indian army are on job.”
Meanwhile, reports pouring in from Kulgam said that the locals pelted stones on police and paramilitary forces to help militants escape the encounter.
