A gun fight broke out between militants and armed forces at Sopore in North Kashmir Wednesday morning.
Reports reaching here said that army and Police had launched a search operation at Sofi Hamam Chankhan area of Sopore, this morning following the intelligence inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
“As the army and SOG Sopore reached near the Sofi Hamam, the militants hiding in the area opened fire upon the forces,” the reports said.
Encounter was going on as the last reports came in.
