SRINAGAR
An encounter broke out in a remote Handwara village Monday morning. Reports said militants and security forces are firing at each other in Malik Pora village.
Confirming the encounter, police spokesman in Srinagar said army and police are jointly fighting the militants. He said details are awaited and many take some more time. He was not in a position to offer any details about the possible number of militants who are engaged in an ecounter.
